Saturday Night Lights
We had so much fun at Colin's football game last night. It was a beautiful night and a lot of family was able to be there. Colin's team won the game and he even had a few star moments. Actually, Nana and Papa had a moment too, when they won the 50/50 raffle! Money truly is the root of all evil. Watching two people trying to find the winning ticket in a panic was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Wow, it was funny. I am still laughing thinking about it.

Reccers
Cade is on the Barrington Reccers this year. His team wears an orange shirt, his favorite color. He did great! Not shy at all and participated the entire time.

Decaf Mocha
Here is Cade, drinking "his decaf mocha". He is pretty keen. Mary got me a Starbucks gift certificate for my birthday so I have been hitting their drive-thru lately.
And another funny (smart marketing) thing he is doing is this pic... "respect the pouch, respect it!". You know, from the CapriSun commericials?

Guess Who?
Guess who is BINKY FREE for the past THREE nights!? REED-O, that's who!
Not that he is okay with this loss. But it's gone and there's no turning back! My brother Dennis named this ritual "binky torture". I remember him telling a story of Alana (now 9 yrs old) having "withdrawals" from the binky and thrashing in bed at night. It was a funny story, especially when you weren't the one dealing it.
Anyway, I did laugh to myself during our experience because I honestly thought to myself, can Dennis see this? If so, he was laughing. Reed was horrible the first two nights! I am not lying. He was thrashing in bed, screaming, crying, kicking, pinching, biting and scratching. It was crazy. At one point Reed yelled, "I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE!". I would have caved except we really didn't have a binky. His last one had a hole in it (probably because he was chewing it more than sucking). It happened as we were getting in bed and there truly was no choice but to suck it up and promise to get more in the morning. But after the night we endured, I decided that was one bad night down and only a few more to go. The second night was the same and just as awful but last night he slept the entire night. He is still asking for a binky during the day too but I have been able to distract him somewhat.
He is not interested in "being a big boy" at all. He told me just now that he misses his binky :(

Look at the big boy watching tv on his motorcycle... notice the hand in the pocket. Too cute!

Cupcake Research
I added two polls to the sidebar. I want to make a cupcake that the majority of people would like. Matt is a vanilla/vanilla guy but I am a chocolate/chocolate gal. I think I will use these results to choose my cupcake and frosting flavors and go from there. Please vote!
Soccer Champ

Cade starts soccer this Saturday. We started practicing today. He was timid last year but I think this year will be better. Not only is he older but he also is in school. I think school is giving him more confidence to go along without Mommy and Daddy. It also has shown him how to listen to direction from someone other than family. So I am hoping he will be more outgoing this season. Daddy gets to take him this weekend. Reed will go with Mommy to get her hair done. Matt will have to take lots of pictures for me.
P.S.
