It is definitely a different type of vacation with two small boys. We loved the resort, especially the free upgrade to a penthouse suite :) The weather was great. The marina in town was clean and beautiful and had lots of good food options. It was a great vacation, just not relaxing. Matt bought four or five books, fully intending on reading most if not all. Well, he managed about 50 pages of one book. I was able to finish one book but only because I stayed up late a few nights and read in bed while everyone was asleep.
Cade was fine for the plane rides. It was a LONG day of travel each way and he did great. Reed, however, not so much. What can you expect from a 2 year old, right?!
Could you ask for a better view? I just love this picture. Two brothers just catching up. They really were having a conversation. They do that a lot now. They really are starting to become friends.
We had a hot tub (or hot bath as Reed called it) right on our huge patio. It really was an amazing suite! This was Cade's favorite thing. He chose the hot tub over the pool and beach most days.
The resort had a Superbowl party. There were tons of people and Matt led our section in cheering for the Patriots. It was a great game, although heartbreaking. The people we sat around were very friendly and nice to the boys.

The resort had a trolley. There are three hotels in one area and a marketplace, all part of the Villa group. It was like a little town within a town. It's a short walk but you could take a free trolley ride to get around. We took the trolley to the market to pick up grocercies, visit the gift shop or get some ice cream. Sometimes we took it just for the ride. The kids did this every day. The loved the trolley. And they were so polite. They learned "hola" and "gracious" and made sure to say it to the driver each time.

This picture is on the pirate ship restaurant which is smack in the middle of the pool. You walk a "plank" to get on board.
The picture above was taken in the marina, the "downtown". There was a mall and lots of shopping and eating inside and outside. There were beautiful flowers and waterfalls.
A nice tourist stopped and offered to get a picture of all of us. It was the only we got the whole week.

LOVE the pics!!!
My favorite is of the two boys catching up. Remember I told you how nice it would be to watch them become friends?! It's the best, huh? To hear their converstions, to see them need eachother more and more each day. Just so cute.
I also LOVE the pic of Cade in the hot tub...looks like a keg party beer in his hand?! ;)

Absolutly beautiful!!! That pic of the boys is ridiculously cute!!! Glad you guys had fun!!!
I love the picture of Cade in the hot tub. I'm sure someday you'll have a picture of him all grown up with a beer in his hand. It would make a nice side by side pic. Looks SO nice! Talk to you soon.
