SOCCER

Cade signed up for soccer and had his first day on Saturday. We thought for sure he'd be right in the action, maybe even a "bully" since he is so big for his age. Well, we were wrong. He did not want anything to do with it. He just stared at the kids and didn't want any adults to look at him , let alone talk to him. He did a half lap with the kids and then cried to leave. The only part he loved was the tshirt. He wanted to know if he could take the shirt home and when I said yes, he said, "okay, let's go home then!"

We spent most of the hour at the playground where he was much happier.
And,thankfully this little boy was feeling the same way.
We did manage to make our way back down to the field. But we just watched the kids.
Of course Reed would have loved to play. Maybe it's the age. He doesn't know to be scared or shy. He was ready to play the game. He tried running with the kids and we had to run on the field to get him a few times.

We will try again and see if he warms up. We were told there is a wait list so I feel a bit of pressure to bow out if he is not loving it. Unfortunately I think giving the shirt back would be the hardest part for Cade ;(

Don't give up Cade! I'm hoping our families can dominate all of Nottingham sports!
You do look very cute in the shirt, too!
